Jordan Dallas.Made, plated, kept.
Jordan Dallas paints buildings, draws houses, and builds the instruments he works with. Synergy — one continuous band of color, hand-painted around an eight-storey building at 12000 Biscayne — is the largest of them and still up. The rest of the work lives here: a house organized around a descent, a generator that draws a thousand studies so a person can keep one, a color system for a room he sits in six hours a day, and a reading of an ancient text that most translations flattened.
The art is the side quest, and it is kept like one — few pieces, each finished, plated, and archived. By day he is a day trader, investor and entrepreneur; that office — the desk, the holdings, the ventures — is at dallasjordan.com. Trained at The Art Institute of Fort Lauderdale; shown at Art Basel Miami, Art Miami, Art Concepts, Sacred Space Costa Rica and Superfine; based in Davie, Florida. Signs his work JD.
